The Global Foundation for Management Education is a joint initiative of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). It aims to identify and address challenges and opportunities in the practice of management education worldwide, and also to advance its quality and content.
The GFME seeks to collaborate and cooperate with organizations and individuals throughout the world, recognizing the cultural aspects and sensitivities of its global constituency. It is focused on thought leadership and collaboration rather than on accreditation.
As management education becomes increasingly international, the inter-dependency of institutions and organizations in different parts of the world will be emphasized. GFME, as a pan-global organization with representation from each of the world’s inhabited continents, recognizes the importance of developing the broadest base for the study of business and management.
The GFME’s mission is an ambitious one: to become the acknowledged thought leader for organizations involved in business and management education, and to act as a development network for the future of this rapidly expanding sector.
GFME is a not-for-profit organization, registered in Canada.
It is a global initiative with its own governing body of invited academics. This Board of Directors consists of 15 individuals selected to represent AACSB International, EFMD and from around the world.
The Global Foundation for Management Education is a collaborative venture between the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).
Emerald Group Publishing Limited is a partner organisation of the GFME, producing the Global Guide to Management Education.
