The Global Management Education Landscape: Shaping the Future of Business Schools

On behalf of the Board of Directors for the Global Foundation for Management Education (GFME), we have great pleasure in announcing the publication of The Global Management Education Landscape: Shaping the Future of Business Schools.

The GFME is a joint venture of AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and EFMD (The European Foundation for Management Development). The mission of the GFME is “to identify and address challenges and opportunities in, and advance the quality, content, and development of, management education and practice worldwide.”

The Global Management Education Landscape begins by identifying important global economic and business trends, as well as recent developments in management education. This insight then leads us to explore the possible implications of these trends on business schools in every region of the world, and to provide five recommendations that can help shape the future of management education.

Global Guide to Management Education 2006

Its goal is to facilitate closer working relationships, cross-border collaborations, and the establishment of meaningful global standards and frameworks for the disciplines of business and management.

The Global Guide is now accessible on this site. Individual country profiles are free to download, and users of the site wishing to purchase a hard copy of the entire book should contact Matthew Wood at the GFME Secretariat in the first instance.

Issues in Management Education

GFME aims to keep individuals and organizations with an interest in management education up to date with the critical developments in this area and to contribute to the debate about the future of education in business and management. The Issues in Management Education section of the site contains articles and papers of interest and relevance to practitioners, students and policy makers at all levels.
